Partizan Belgrade

FK Partizan 5-2 Sevojno
Saturday, December 4
Partizan warmed up for Tuesday’s trip to Emirates Stadium with a comprehensive 5-2 victory over Sevojno on Saturday. The Serbian champions, who have yet to win a point in this season’s Champions League, have no chance of qualification from Group H. Despite this, they continue to dominate domestic affairs and are now five points clear at the top of the Serbian Super Liga. Cleo put Aleksandar Stanojević’s side two goals up after just six minutes with a quick-fire double and Radoslav Petrovic made it three shortly afterwards. Stefan Babovic added a fourth after 24 minutes and Ivica Iliev scored the fifth midway through the second half. Sevojno got two consolation goals but Partizan ran out easy winners.

Sporting Braga

Uniao de Leiria 3-1 Sporting Braga
Saturday, December 4
Sporting Braga’s indifferent league form continued as they lost 3-1 at Uniao de Leiria on Saturday. Domingos Paciência’s side did go ahead after just eight minutes when Matheus poked home from a yard before the game turned after 20 minutes. Miguel Garcia was sent off after he conceded a penalty and Carlao converted from the spot to draw the sides level. Carlao then put Braga behind just seven minutes later when he finished well from close range. Matheus was sent off six minutes before time and Silas sealed the win with another penalty. Braga will qualify from Group H if they better Arsenal’s result in the final round of matches on Wednesday.

Shakhtar Donetsk

Shakhtar Donetsk
Shakhtar Donetsk enjoyed a weekend off as they prepare for the final round of Group H matches. Mircea Lucescu’s side will top Arsenal’s Champions League group if they avoid defeat at home to Braga on Wednesday.
