Partizan Belgrade continued their unbeaten start to the Serbian Super Liga season as they beat Borac Cacak 2-0 on Sunday. Second-half goals from Cleo and Miloš Bogunović gave the Serbian champions victory. Arsenal’s next opponents in the Champions League have now won their opening five league games and sit two points clear of nearest rivals Crvena Zvezda. Arsenal travel to Belgrade for a Group H clash on September 28.

Sporting Braga

Paços de Ferreira 2-2 Sporting Braga

Sporting Braga returned to league action after Wednesday’s defeat at Emirates Stadium with a 2-2 draw away against Paços de Ferreira. There initially seemed no hangover after the heavy loss against the Gunners as Moisés’ and a fine sole strike from Luis Aguiar 10 minutes into the second half put Braga two goals up. Wanderson Sousa got Paços de Ferreira back into the game in he 69th minute and Javier Antonio Cohene’s injury-time header denied Domingos Paciência’s men all three points. Braga are now fifth in the table with eight points from five games.


Shakhtar Donetsk

Shakhtar Donetsk 4-1 Tavriya

Shakhtar Donetsk strengthened their grip at the top of the Ukrainian Premier League with a 4-1 victory over Tavriya on Sunday. Aleksandr Kovpak gave Tavriya a shock lead after just five minutes - though it didn’t take long for Shakhtar to respond. Darijo Srna got his side back on level terms after 14 minutes and then three second-half strikes gave Mircea Lucescu’s side a comfortable win. Goals from Luiz Adriano, Jádson and Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s mean Shakhtar remain two points ahead of Dynamo Kyiv after 10 games.
