Two second-half goals were enough for Montpellier to take all three points against Nancy. Playmaker Younes Belhanda gave the champions the lead midway through the second half, before Souleymane Camara made sure of the result on the stroke of half time. The victory moved Montpellier up to 13th in the Ligue 1 table.

Atromitos 0-1 Olympiacos

Olympiacos kept their 100 per cent record intact with a victory over Atromitos. David Fuster grabbed the decisive goal just after the half-hour mark. Olympiacos are still top of the Super League, three points clear of second-placed PAOK.

Fortuna Dusseldorf 2-2 Schalke

Schalke threw away a two-goal lead in their game against Fortuna Dusseldorf on Friday night. First-half goals from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Joel Matip had given Schalke the advantage at the break. But Dani Schahin’s brace secured a point for Dusseldorf. The result leaves Schalke fourth in the Bundesliga.
