Euro Watch: Olympiacos keep up the pace

The Champions League Group Stage draw pitted Arsenal with Marseille, Olympiacos and Borussia Dortmund.

Olympiacos recorded a resounding victory over Doxa Drama last week, firing six goals in a devastating win. Marko Pantelic hit a brace, as did Kevin Mirallas, with an own goal and Javito completing the rout. Ernesto Valverde's side built on that win with a 2-0 victory over Panaitolikos on Saturday. Marko Pantelic opened the scoring in the second half from the penalty spot, before Rafik Djebbour made it two in the 74th minute to seal victory.

Saturday, December 3

Borussia Dortmund dropped back to second in the Bundesliga with a 1-1 draw over third-place Monchengladbach on Saturday. Robert Lewandowski continued his fine run of scoring with the opener in the 40th minute, before Mike Hanke levelled in the second half.

Friday, December 2
Marseille recorded their second win in succession with a hard-fought victory in Caen on Friday. Andre Ayew broke the deadlock in the 21st minute, before the hosts got back on level terms from the penalty spot just two minutes later. But Jordan Ayew struck in the second half to seal the points for Didier Deschamps' side.
