Borussia Dortmund's disappointing start to the season continued as they went down 2-1 away at Hannover on Sunday. Japanese midfielder Shinki Kagawa put Dortmund ahead in the 63rd minute but goals from Karim Haggui and Didier Ya Konan sunk Jurgen Klopp's side.


Olympique de Marseille

Lyon 2-0 Marseille

Marseille sit rooted firmly to the bottom of Ligue 1 after six matches thanks to a 2-0 defeat at Lyon on Sunday. Goals from Bafetimbi Gomis and Michel Bastos sealed the three points for the league leaders.


Olympiacos FC

Olympiacos Piraeus 2-1 Xanthi
Sunday, September 18

Olympiacos finally got their season off to a flier, coming from a goal behind to snatch a late victory against Xanthi. The visitors were leading until the 87th minute, but a goal from substitute Marko Pantelic levelled the scores before former Aston Villa man Olof Mellberg's 94-minute header sealed victory for Olympiacos.
