Montpellier

Valenciennes 1-1 Montpellier

Montpellier extended their unbeaten record in Ligue 1 to four games after drawing at Valenciennes. Gaetan Charbonnier gave the visitors the lead after 15 minutes before Gregory Pujol pulled the home side level five minutes before the break. And despite Jamel Saihi being sent off 12 minutes into the second half, Rene Girard’s team held on for a point and are now 14th in the table.

Schalke 04

Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 Schalke
Saturday, November 17
A goal in either half condemned Schalke to defeat at Bayer Leverkusen. Andre Schurrle gave the hosts the lead on the stroke of half time, before striker Stefan Kießling doubled the lead midway through the second half. Despite the loss, Schalke remain in second place in the Bundesliga.

Olympiacos FC

Olympiacos 2-0 Kerkyra
Saturday, November 17
Olympiacos continued their excellent start to the Greek Super League season with a comfortable victory over Kerkyra. Konstantinos Mitroglou gave the hosts the lead halfway through the first half before Dimotrios Siovas extended the advantage 10 minutes into the second period. Leonardo Jardim’s side are now eight points clear at the top of the table.
