Hercules 0-3 FC Barcelona
Saturday, January 29
Barcelona stretched their lead at the top of La Liga to seven points with a 3-0 win at Hercules on Saturday. Pedro put the Catalans a goal up in the first half and Lionel Messi scored twice late on to continue Pep Guardiola side’s incredible League form. Barca went ahead when a defence-splitting pass from Xavi set up Pedro to lash home two minutes before the break. The home side were reduced to ten men in the 85th minute when Farinos received his marching orders before Messi thumped home a second off the post and tapped in a third to complete the win.
