FC Barcelona 3-0 Racing Santander
Saturday, January 22
Barcelona maintained their four-point lead at the top of La Liga with a comfortable 3-0 win over Racing Santander on Saturday. Pep Guardiola’s side have now won 14 League games in a row dating back to early October. The Catalans took control as early as the second minute when Pedro poked home from close range. Lionel Messi played a neat one-two with David Villa and lifted the ball over goalkeeper Tono before the Spaniard converted from barely a yard. Messi then made it two from the penalty spot just after the half-hour mark to put Barca in control. Andreas Iniesta added a third 11 minutes into the second half when he finished well from the edge of the area following a deft flick from Pedro.
