Sunday, February 26
Barcelona extended their lead at the top of La Liga to seven points with a 3-0 win at Real Mallorca on Saturday. Lionel Messi’s header gave the Catalan giants an early advantage and second-half goals from David Villa and Pedro ensured a comfortable night for Pep Guardiola’s side. Messi latched onto Seydou Keita’s lofted through-ball to head over Dudu Aouate and Villa raced clear to put Barca in control just short of the hour mark. A stunning strike from Pedro brought a third as Arsenal’s Champions League opponents coasted to victory.
