AS Roma 3-0 Genoa
Sunday, February 8.
After their disappointing draw against rock-bottom Reggina last weekend, Roma got back to winning ways with an efficient victory over Genoa on Sunday. Cicinho fired the hosts ahead after 27 minutes from just inside the box before Mirko Vucinic doubled the advantage just after the interval, finishing off a fine Roma breakaway with a sweet strike into the top left-hand corner. Rodrigo Taddei was dismissed for his second bookable offence just before the hour-mark and Genoa striker Giuseppe Sculli made it 10 v 10 when he saw red 15 minutes later. Ex-Gunner Julio Baptista, who replaced Vucinic during the second half, added some gloss to the victory in stoppage time with a superb long-range effort.
