The 2012 European Championship is now in full swing and Arsenal.com will be keeping you regularly updated with the progress of the Gunners taking part in the tournament.
Tomas Rosicky's Czech Republic secured progress to the quarter-finals of Euro 2012 and top spot in Group A with a crucial 1-0 victory over Poland in Wroclaw on Saturday.
The influential midfielder missed out through injury, however, while Wojciech Szczesny also failed to feature despite being eligible after his one-match suspension. Przemyslaw Tyton kept his place between the posts.
Defeat ensured a miserable evening for the co-hosts, who bowed out of Group A bottom of the table with just two points to their name.
In the end it was Wolfsburg midfielder Petr Jiracek who scored the only goal of a closely-fought contest, prodding past Tyton with around 20 minutes remaining.
It was Jiracek's second goal of the tournament and was enough to seal Poland's premature exit. Rosicky's Czech Republic will now face the runner-up of Group B, which includes Germany, Portugal, Holland and Portugal.17 Jun 2012
