Arsenal will bring through major English talent in the next few years, according to Arsène Wenger.
The manager accepts that the Club have not produced many domestic players for the first-team recently in comparison to those youngsters brought over from abroad. However Arsenal have been expanding and improving their Academy system recently. Those changes are likely to beat fruit soon.
"Through the years it is true we have developed less English players than young foreign talent," said Wenger at the Club's AGM. "It is down to one basic reason - England produces less young talent because they responded later with the quality of their academies.
"But I think that with the work of [director] Richard Carr
we have really developed our youth system and in the next three or
four years we will produce top domestic talent because I know we
have it here at the Club."
