Arsène Wenger will ring some New Year changes for the derby
with West Ham at Emirates Stadium.
Bacary Sagna is rested and
Gilberto is still recovering from sickness.
Justin Hoyte is likely to fill-in at right back while
Emmanuel Eboue and
Theo Walcott are recalled after missing the 4-1 win at Everton.
Robin van Persie (muscular) is still out but Wenger now
estimates his return as "optimistically 10 days."
"There will be small changes," the manager told Arsenal
TV Online on New Year's Eve. "We try to keep the stability
in the side but keep the freshness as well with some players coming
in.
"Eboue is back in the squad after being rested. Walcott is
back too after he was out with sickness. Gilberto is not available
because he has only just come back from sickness himself. Sagna is
rested so Justin Hoyte comes in for him.
"As for Robin Van Persie, I think we can optimistically say he
is 10 days away from being available again."
