Emmanuel Eboue is hoping to return for this weekend's Premiership clash with Manchester United.
The Ivory Coast right back was injured during Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Portsmouth at Emirates Stadium on December 16. He limped off 12 minutes from time and was sidelined for three weeks.
Eboue was back in the starting line-up for the FA Cup victory against Liverpool at Anfield 10 days ago but was replaced by Justin Hoyte during the second half after suffering a recurrence of his injury.
"The problem has been my ankle," Eboue told Arsenal.com. "I have been injured since the game against Portsmouth and when I trained I was still feeling it a little bit.
"But I am hoping to be back for the game against Manchester United. I really, really want to play in that game."
