Arsène Wenger will stick with the defence that let in four goals at Liverpool last week for the visit of West Ham on Saturday.
A groin injury to Emmanuel Eboue threatened to disrupt the Arsenal manager's plans to give the back four at Anfield a chance for redemption. Fortunately the Ivorian passed a fitness test on Friday morning and will take his place alongside William Gallas, Kolo Toure and Gael Clichy.
"They had a bad day at Anfield and Peter Crouch had a great day," said Wenger at his usual pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon. "I will play the same defenders again because it would be too easy to change. I give them a chance to respond in a better way, to show what good players they are.
"It is a question of team performance as well, we were beaten defensively in 50/50s too much - not only the defenders but everywhere. We were caught by a team who wanted it more."
Otherwise it was just a matter of confirming the information first revealed on Arsenal.com on Thursday
"Gilberto is back and Aliadiere is back," he said. "Eboue is fit again too."
