The goal Gilberto claimed against Reading on April 19 has been credited to the Brazilian midfielder.
The Premier League's Dubious Goals Panel reconvened for the final time this season to assess goals scored between April 12 and the end of the campaign.
Gilberto's strike, the second in a 2-0 victory for Arsenal, was on the agenda because the World Cup winner's long-range shot took a deflection off Andre Bikey on its way past Reading goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann.
The Panel decided that Gilberto's shot was already goal-bound and thus credited the goal to the Brazilian. It was the 31-year-old's solitary goal of the 2007/08 campaign.Copyright 2013 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
