Abou Diaby hopes Arsenal's hard work in Austria will lay the foundations for a successful season at Emirates Stadium.
The Frenchman and his team-mates are on the road to Germany for tonight's friendly against Stuttgart, leaving behind the idyllic surroundings of their summer training camp.
Diaby has been staking a claim for a central midfield berth since he returned for pre-season training and believes that all of Arsenal's players will have benefited from 10 tough days in the Austrian sunshine.
"It's good, we came here to prepare well," Diaby told Arsenal.com.
"It is 10 days together and we have built the foundation for the season ahead. We are prepared and we have tried to work a lot, to practise our best game. It has been good for us."Copyright 2013 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
