Diaby - I will be strong for the run-in

Abou Diaby believes his injury problems earlier in the season could actually work in his favour during the run-in to the campaign.

The France international sustained a thigh injury against Chelsea at Emirates Stadium in September and was sidelined for three months.

The 26-year-old has since made a successful return to the Arsenal team and feels his extended lay-off will be an advantage.

“I think I will be good in the last two months of the season,” Diaby told Arsenal Player. “At the same time, when you come back, it’s not easy because you’re not fit enough.

“The players and the game reach such a level of physicality that it is difficult to catch. But I think [my spell out is] good for the end of the season.”
