Abou Diaby's participation in Arsenal's crucial game at Chelsea will rest on the results of a fitness test on Saturday.
The French midfielder has been sidelined with a calf injury since the win over Bolton on January 20 but Arsène Wenger is still hopeful that he will return for Sunday's trip to Stamford Bridge.
However, as reported on Arsenal.com on Thursday, the manager will be without Eduardo after he failed to recover from a hamstring injury.
"Eduardo is out and the only possible comeback we have is Diaby, who will have a test tomorrow." said Wenger at his pre-match press conference.
Sol Campbell is available after a minor groin strain but Carlos Vela (knee) is out along with long-term absentees Robin van Persie, Johan Djourou and Kieran Gibbs.
