Denilson hopes that his form for Arsenal this season will earn him a place at next summer's World Cup.
The 21-year-old has been impressive since he returned from injury in December, scoring a classic free-kick in the 3-0 win over Hull City before Christmas.
Denilson has captained Brazil at every level from Under-15 to Under-20 but has yet to win a senior international cap for his country. However, he intends to push his claims for a trip to South Africa in 2010 by hitting the heights with Arsenal in the coming months.
"It is my dream to play in the World Cup and get the opportunity to play for Brazil," Denilson told the Official Matchday Programme.
"I was speaking about it last week to Brazilian TV and I said to them that all I am doing is working for my team - Arsenal. Arsenal pay me, they respect me, and if I can do well here, and stay in the team, score goals, then I know the opportunity will come with Brazil. I dream to be at the World Cup, but I haven't heard anything at all about it.
"If I don’t go I will support them," he added, "but also England. I think it might happen that we see a Brazil v England Final.
"That would be perfect, because I feel a little bit English now. Since first watching the Arsenal team of Vieira, Bergkamp, Henry and Pires in about 2002 I have wanted to play in England, so I'm very happy to be here and I would like to be here a long time.
"I have just signed a new contract, my future is at this club and I'm delighted about that."
