Denilson - Comeback was a brilliant display

By Nick Teale

Denilson has hailed Wednesday night's comeback against Bolton as a "brilliant performance".

The midfielder conceded the penalty from which Owen Coyle's side went 2-0 up and admitted that the Gunners found things tough in the first-half.

However the Brazilian was delighted with the way Arsenal turned the game around and says continued hard work is the key to maintaining the Gunners' unbeaten run of form.

"It was very difficult for us in the first half," he told Arsenal TV Online after the game. "[At half time] the boss said we had to show how much we care to win. In the second half we put in a brilliant performance.

"Now we have to continue to focus in training and in the games and the results will come."

Denilson was speaking exclusively to TV Online. Subscribers can watch the interview in full now. The midfielder discussed:

  • an important win
  • going 2-0 down in the game
  • a 'brilliant' comeback
  • giving away a penalty
  • the importance of scoring just before half time
  • going top of the Premier League
  • a tough run of League fixtures coming up
  • Arsenal's injury problems
