Francis Coquelin is trying to get as many first-team minutes under his belt as possible - irrespective of where he plays.
The 20-year-old Frenchman joined Arsenal almost four years ago and played a starring role in the Youth Cup-winning side of 2009. He usually operates in central midfield but made his first-team debut at right back and impressed in that position while Bacary Sagna was injured.
Coquelin has even been deployed at left back in recent times but the player himself is happy to do a job anywhere.
"I want to play as much as possible," he said. "At the moment it's at right back, even if I'm usually a midfielder, but it's not a problem. I'm doing everything I can to play.
"It's only really at the start of this season that I have started playing with the first team. I played against Manchester United at the end of August. Since that, I try to get as much time on the pitch with the first team as possible, whatever the position."
Coquelin arrived at Emirates Stadium a year after Thierry Henry left the Club for Barcelona and the young Frenchman has relished the chance to link up with his famous compatriot since the 34-year-old returned on loan.
"Thierry brings all his experience to the team," said Coquelin. "He has done a lot of great things through his career. He brings something more to the team and to the club.
"He doesn't need to play to bring something to the team. He talks a lot in the dressing room for example and when he comes on, he adds value to the team."Copyright 2014 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
