Preparations are almost over for this weekend’s Coldplay concerts, taking place at Emirates Stadium on Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Monday 4th June.
With the football season over, thousands of fans will fill the space that Arsène Wenger’s team play on. The pitch has been laid with protective matting, and with the help of large cranes the stage is being built against the familiar backdrop of the Clock End.
On Wednesday afternoon giant screens were erected either side of the stage, to relay the action to tens of thousands of fans each night who will be looking forward to seeing one of the world’s best-selling bands.
Emirates Stadium has previously played host to Bruce Springsteen in 2008 and the Summertime Ball in 2009.
