Dear Local Resident / Local Business,
I would like to inform you of changes to the coach parking arrangements the forthcoming Arsenal v Newcastle United FA Cup Fourth Round match on Saturday 26th January 2008, Kick Off 3pm.
As this is an FA Cup match, the ticket allocation for away supporters has increased to approximately 5,000 compared to the usual approximate 3,000 away supporters for the majority of matches at Emirates Stadium.
Consequently, it is anticipated that there will be an increased number of coaches travelling to Emirates Stadium on Saturday 26th January. As for each match day, The Sobell Centre and Queensland Road (both off-street parking) will be used to park supporters' coaches.
However, in order to facilitate the extra number of coaches, we have agreed with both Islington Council and the Metropolitan Police that the two official on-street coach parking locations will also be required to be used on Saturday 26th January.
The two locations are as follows:
1. Hornsey Street - Northside - 14 coaches
2. Drayton Park - Northside - 9 coaches
The coaches are predicted to arrive between 2 - 4 hours before kick-off (ie between 11am and 1pm) and they will leave the locations within one hour after the final whistle (ie approximately 5.45pm). The parking bays will therefore be suspended for the whole day.
Your co-operation in this matter is greatly appreciated and therefore we would ask all local resident and businesses to relocate vehicles if they are parked in the suspended parking bays in Drayton Park and re-park them in the nearest available parking bay. We do understand that this may cause you some inconvenience but we appreciate your assistance, in order to accommodate the unusual match day coach parking operation.
Please note that if a vehicle is parked in a suspended parking bay on a match day it can be subject to Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and may be towed away to the nearest side street. In the unlikely event that your vehicle has been relocated please contact TRACE on 020 7744 4747 for its location.
We strongly advise that you check the parking signs on-street before you park any vehicle in the area.
Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated and once again apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
