The Club can confirm that Dr Ian Beasley is to leave Arsenal after six years as the Club’s Doctor.
Dr Beasley is joining the Football Association in the New Year to become the England Senior Men’s Team Doctor and Head of England Medical Services.
Since joining Arsenal in July 2002, Beasley (57) has made an invaluable contribution to the Club, travelling with the first team squad to all matches, home, away and in Europe. He has worked closely with the all the Club’s players, making sure that their medical needs are met and has played a vital part in ensuring that Arsène Wenger has a fit and healthy squad to choose from.
Ian will join up with ex-Arsenal Physio Gary Lewin, who has been at the Football Association since leaving the Gunners in the summer.
The Club has already started a thorough recruitment process, in order to appoint a replacement for Dr Beasley in the New Year.
Ian will be missed by his many friends at Arsenal Football Club and we wish him the best of luck in his new role with the Football Association.Copyright 2013 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
