Gael Clichy believes that the swarth of young talent emerging at Emirates Stadium is keeping the first-team regulars on their toes.
The Frenchman is firmly established as the Club's first-choice left-back but a challenger for his place has emerged in the shape of Kieran Gibbs. The young Englishman is still learning his trade after making the switch from left wing to left back but he has shone in the Carling Cup and FA Cup this season.
Clichy has seen Gibbs at close quarters in training and is impressed by the teenager.
"It has been a positive - Kieran has played well," Clichy told the Official Matchday Programme.
"And that goes for all the young players - they are progressing fast. When you train with the first team you always push on so it's good for everyone, them and us.
"It's really pleasing that the likes of Kieran, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and the rest are doing so well this year."
