Marouane Chamakh says he already plays the Arsenal way and can add even more to the Gunners' distinctive style of football.
The striker believes he is ideally suited to Arsène Wenger's brand of play after three years of similar football under Laurent Blanc at Bordeaux.
The Moroccan told the Official Matchday Programme that the Gunners' philosophy made his move to Emirates Stadium "a dream".
"Arsenal play nice, attractive football with short passes, on the floor, lots of pass and move," said Chamakh. "Every player in the world wants to play like that and Arsenal, like Barcelona, provide you with this philosophy. I won't have any trouble to fit in the style of play.
"To me, the image [of Arsenal] was of a fantastic club with an amazing stadium, a great manager, a long history of winning trophies, lots of French players and of a certain way of playing football.
"It's a club that has always made me dream. It is the place where I wanted to be and the shirt I wanted to wear more than any other.
"The philosophy here is the same Laurent Blanc applied in Bordeaux during the last three seasons. So I can play the way Arsenal play, but I can bring something more too with long balls towards me if we are struggling during a game as I'm strong in the air.
"My favourite position is up front with another striker as I think I can complement another forward perfectly. However, I can play on my own as well and drift on the right or the left and I will do what the boss asks me. I love scoring goals and it's my job but I am not obsessed with it.
"I am not what you would call a very selfish striker. I am very collective in my game. I love playing for the team, work hard for the team and help to make other people shine too."
