The meeting between Alex Hleb and his agent on the eve of the game in Milan concerned Arsène Wenger.
It emerged this week that the Arsenal midfielder had gone out in Italy the night before the Champions League tie. It was rumoured that a deal with Inter was being discussed however Hleb's agent reportedly said the pair were just having ice-cream.
"I was concerned and I didn't like that it happened," said Wenger at his press conference on Friday. "If the agent came to the team hotel then he should have asked me for permission to see the players. You cannot just see the players like that."
When asked if the meeting was worthy of concern, Wenger replied: "All the rest we will keep secret.
"But Italy is well known for having good ice cream!"Copyright 2015 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source
