In November, Arsenal Football Club marked Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day with the entire team wearing a special one-off edition of the Club's away shirt and now Arsenal.com is offering the opportunity to own the last available shirt from the match - Eduardo's number 9 (as pictured).
Each of the blue away shirts worn by the players during their 4-1 win at Wolves on November 7 was embroidered with a poppy, with each player signing his shirt from the match.
Since the match at the start of November, the Club has initiated a number of different auctions for the shirts. These auctions were placed on eBay, Arsenal.com, Arsenal TV Online and in the Club's Official Magazine and Matchday Programme.
Those auctions have already raised over £15,000 for Help the Heroes and The Royal British Legion. But there is one last shirt still available for bidding!
Arsenal.com has got its hands on the shirt worn by Eduardo and supporters now have the opportunity to bid for this truly special piece of memorabilia and by doing so, give to two very worthwhile causes - The Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes.
If you would like to own Eduardo's shirt from the Wolves game, which is also signed by the striker himself, then email your name, contact telephone number and bid amount to poppyauction@arsenal.co.uk by 10pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2010.
Arsenal.com has already auctioned the shirts worn by Andrey Arshavin and Robin van Persie, Aaron Ramsey, Kieran Gibbs and Mikael Silvestre in win at Wolves.
Arsenal Chairman, Peter Hill-Wood said: "I know all the players were very proud to wear these special shirts and remember those who've given their lives for our freedom. We hope the Poppy shirts can raise vital funds for Help For Heroes and The Royal British Legion, both fantastic organisations who help those who have served and are currently serving in the British Armed Forces."
