Arsenal.com's Nick Teale uses the Bettorlogic form lab to analyse the statistics ahead of this Wednesday's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

It's over a decade since Arsenal lost a Premier League fixture against Tottenham.

That 2-1 defeat at White Hart Lane on November 7, 1999 was the only time Arsène Wenger has suffered a league defeat in the North London derby.

During the Frenchman's spell at Arsenal the Gunners have taken a total of 52 points off Spurs - 40 more than Tottenham have collected in North London derbies over the same time span.

Statistically, Harry Redknapp's side have one of the tightest defences in the Premier League. Only Chelsea and Manchester United have conceded fewer goals this term. But don't let that lead you to believe Wednesday night's encounter will be a quiet one.

In Wenger's time at Arsenal, North London derbies have produced an average of 2.82 goals per game. The Gunners have only failed to score once against Tottenham since the turn of the century. In that time the Gunners have scored 50 goals in 25 fixtures in all competitions.

However, Tottenham have lost just one of six home League games against 'Big Four' clubs since Redknapp took charge at White Hart Lane.

That represents a points-per-game improvement of 102 per cent compared with Spurs' record at home to 'Big Four' clubs since summer 2004.

The Bettorlogic statistics show that Arsenal score 39 per cent more goals when visiting sides in the Premier League's top six when Denilson plays. That's compared to the team's average of 1.52 goals per game scored over the last 25 such away trips.
