Nicklas Bendtner insists Arsenal have put Sunday’s Carling Cup Final disappointment firmly behind them.

Any questions that the setback could potentially derail the rest of their season seemed to be emphatically answered by Wednesday’s convincing 5-0 win over Leyton Orient.

Bendtner fired his second hat-trick in an Arsenal shirt to help see off the League One outfit and he insists the team have moved on from their Wembley woes.

“It was just what we needed to bounce back in a positive way and this was the best way we could have done it,” he said.

“We have to put that behind us now, and learn from it. It is a part of football and you have to move on from that.

“It is done, they [Birmingham] won it [and] we didn't. We have three other things to focus on now and that is what we will do.

“We have the players and the mentality to create something special. At the end of the day, we know [we] are going to be rated on one thing, and that is what we are trying to achieve.”
