Yossi Benayoun believes there were many positives to take from Tuesday’s draw with Borussia Dortmund into this weekend’s Premier League trip to Blackburn Rovers.

The Israel midfielder, who joined from Chelsea on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day, made his full Arsenal debut in the Champions League Group F fixture.

Benayoun spoke to Arsenal Player after the game in Germany and you can watch the video clip now by clicking on the link to the right.

on a positive performance in Germany…
It was a good performance away from home because it is always difficult away from home in the Champions League. We could see the three points but they scored a goal at the end that we could do nothing about so we need to be happy with a point

on building on the result…
Dortmund are the German champions, they are a very good team, and we can take a lot of confidence from this game into Saturday’s game against Blackburn.

on scoring just before the break…
It was a great ball from Walcott and Van Persie finished it like he knows. We had one or two chances to win the game but this is football.

on pressure building from Dortmund in the second half…
You expect them to try everything and they pressed and pressed. In the end, they scored a lovely goal but we need to be happy with this point.

on moving on from a poor start to the season…
We all know it wasn’t the best start to the season. We beat Swansea the other day and to take a point in the Champions League will build the confidence. There is a lot of quality in this team and I’m sure we will show it from game to game.

on being back in the Champions League...
It’s lovely to play for a big club like Arsenal and it’s a big challenge for me. I was happy that I have the chance to play and hopefully, with every chance I get, I will justify myself.

on his first few weeks at Arsenal…
I am enjoying it. The guys gave me a good feeling from the beginning and it is a big challenge. Like I said, any chance that I get I will prove that I deserve to be here. Hopefully we will have a great season.

on the mood in the camp…
The mood is much better now. There is a great manager and great players with a lot of quality. The manager decided to bring a few players in, I am one of them, and I am sure we will add something to the team and together we will take the team forward.
