Bartley signs new contract with Arsenal

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that defender Kyle Bartley has signed a new contract with the Club.

Bartley, 20, spent the 2010/11 campaign gaining first-team experience with successful loan spells at Sheffield United and Rangers. During his time in Glasgow, the centre back made eight starts and cut his teeth in two Old Firm games.

The former Reserve team captain and FA Youth Cup winner has made one competitive appearance for Arsène Wenger’s side, playing 90 minutes against Olympiacos in the UEFA Champions League in December 2009.

Kyle also featured for the first team in Sunday’s Emirates Cup match with the New York Red Bulls.

Everyone at the Club is looking forward to Kyle’s continued contribution and development with the Club.
