Kanu celebrates his goal at the Nou Camp
Last time Arsenal played Barcelona at the Nou Camp the Gunners secured a 1-1 draw thanks to an 81st-minute equaliser from Kanu.
The match was a Group Stage encounter in September 1999 and Luis Enrique had put Barcelona ahead after 16 minutes.
And with just nine minutes remaining Arsenal's night got worse as Gilles Grimandi was dismissed for an elbow on Pep Guardiola.
But within a minute of the red card the Gunners were level. Davor Suker, on as a substitute in place of Dennis Bergkamp, unleashed an effort that was saved by Ruud Hesp. Kanu was first to the rebound and he fired the equaliser into the bottom corner.
Three of the players who were on the teamsheet that night could be involved in some capacity on Tuesday night. Barcelona's current manager Guardiola started for the Catalans while midfielder Xavi was an unused substitute.
Thierry Henry was a substitute for Arsenal that night and he could feature for Barcelona tonight.
