Julio Baptista has been included in Arsenal's squad to face Liverpool on Saturday after shrugging off an ankle problem.

The Brazilian sustained his injury during last Saturday's defeat at Sheffield United but Arsène Wenger suggested he could return for the FA Cup tie at Anfield when he spoke to Arsenal TV Online on Thursday. The Arsenal manager confirmed the good news at his pre-match press conference.

"Baptista is back in the side tomorrow, he is in the 16," said Wenger.

"We have a lot of players available now but some are short of competition so I will not necessarily call them up. For example William Gallas was training for the first time today and Abou Diaby yesterday so they are still short.

"Lauren will not play either and Cesc Fabregas is suspended but Eboue is back and the only real injuries we have are Emmanuel Adebayor (thigh) and Freddie Ljungberg (hamstring)."
