Julio Baptista and Abou Diaby are ready to return for the visit of Wigan on Sunday while two other Arsenal stars are set to resume training in the next few days.

The injuries suffered by the Brazilian (groin) and the Frenchman (knee) have kept them out for a couple of games. The same can not be said of William Gallas (thigh), Emmanuel Eboue (ankle), Alex Hleb (hamstring) and Freddie Ljungberg (hamstring). Fortunately for Wenger the latter two are all but match-fit.

"Abou Diaby and Julio Baptista are back in the squad," said the manager at Friday's press conference. "But that is it.

"Senderos is suspended so Djourou is back in but Hleb, Gallas, Ljungberg and Eboue are all out.

"I believe Ljungberg and Hleb will be the earliest back. Hleb should join in [training] on Monday and Ljungberg tomorrow."

Wenger suggested Wednesday's FA Cup tie at Bolton would be too soon for the Swede's first-team comeback but not for Hleb "because he hasn't stopped for a long time". He also suggested Baptista and Diaby could play a major role at the Reebok Stadium.
