On the 1-0 away victory...
"It was a tough game. When you come to Stoke they are always committed and give you a problem and I was really pleased with the first-half performance. Nantwich had done extremely well to make the pitch playable and under the conditions I thought we played some really good football. Unfortunately they had a lad sent off and it's always difficult against 10 men. I was a bit disappointed in the second half because we didn't really create anything to be honest and we need to learn how to break teams down, which we didn't do. But overall, I was delighted with the performance."

On Diego Arismendi's 43rd-minute dismissal...
"I didn't really see it, I was watching the ball and then the referee has sent him off straight away. He said to me he had headbutted him [Fran Merida] and so if the referee saw it then the lad had to go."

On how the game changed after the red card...
"Stoke are a good well-organised club and they posed us a problem. It's always difficult as I said against 10 man and they had two lines of four with one up front and played on the counter attack. To be fair we didn't really create anything in the second half and I said to them that it's a bit disappointing. But they'll learn from it and hopefully we'll get a few goals next time we play against 10 men.

On what he expects from his team next time they face 10 men...
"When it's 10 men you have to create some space. It might not be for the first run, it might be for the second run. If you haven't got any movement you aren't creating any space. They have to learn from that and hopefully they'll take that into the next game."

On Luke Ayling's performance as captain...
"I thought he did really well. Luke is a smashing lad and he is really dedicated to football and he has been with us a while now and deserves to be captain."

On playing Chelsea next Monday night...
"It will be a good game. We'll go to there on a little bit of a run and hopefully come away with another victory."
