Arsène Wenger has refuted suggestions that Samir Nasri ‘dived’ to win a penalty for the Gunners at White Hart Lane.

Speaking exclusively in his Matchday Programme notes for tomorrow’s game against West Brom, Arsène said: “Since our win at Spurs on Tuesday night, there has been talk in the media about the award of our first penalty. If you look at the replay, you can see that Bassong clearly pulls Nasri’s shirt and the referee gives the penalty. Samir is an honest player and to suggest he dived for the penalty is wrong.”

You can read far more from the Boss in the programme itself, priced at £3 and available from sellers around Emirates Stadium tomorrow – as well as official Club retail outlets.

The publication includes the exclusive words of Samir himself – as well as Cesc Fabregas, Johan Djourou and Nigel Winterburn. You can also win the day’s match ball, and be presented with it by one of your Arsenal heroes!
