Arsenal Ladies and Team GB stars Ellen White and Kim Little paid a visit to a special festive session of Arsenal in the Community’s ‘How Are You Feeling Today?’ programme on Thursday afternoon.

Ellen joined participants of the mental health scheme and the club’s community coaches in a game of 11-a-side football at Whittington Park in north London while Kim, nursing a small injury, cheered on from the sidelines.

After an exhilarating match, which ended in a 5-5 draw with Ellen bagging herself a hat-trick, the pair then helped administer the group's end of year awards ceremony, with one member's progress in 2012 rewarded with a signed Arsenal Ladies shirt.

The 'How Are You Feeling Today?' project uses sport to help bolster a sense of social inclusion among adults affected by mental health issues and works to challenge the stigma associated with the condition. And the Club run two two-hour sessions every week in partnership with the Camden and Islington Mental Health Trust, Time to Change, the Premier League and Sport Relief.

Ellen, who had visited one of the project’s sessions back in May, was delighted to make a return trip: "It was brilliant to be involved with the ‘How Are You Feeling Today?’ programme again on Thursday," she said. "It’s such a fantastic initiative, with guys who can be having a pretty difficult time of it able to come to sessions, receive a little support and enjoy a game of football.”
