England Under-21 international Stewart Robson, now of Arsenal TV,
was born in Billericay, Essex. Voted the Gunners Player of the Year
in 1985, he opted to join boyhood favourites West Ham United two
years later.

Left-back Bob McNab won the first of his four England caps in a 0-0
draw in Romania.

Frank Stapleton, Sammy Nelson, Malcolm McDonald and Trevor Ross all
scored in a 4-0 win against Birmingham.

Nottingham Forrest were beaten 4-1 by Arsenal with goals from Alan
Smith, Steve Bould, Tony Adams and Brian Marwood.
