An incredible game. Spurs led early but Henry equalised before Lauren and Vieira put them in charge. Defoe hit back, Ljungberg made it 4-2, King responded, Pires grabbed a fifth and Arsenal held on despite Kanoute's strike.

'We won the League at White Hart Lane!' A day to remember as Vieira and Pires scored the goals that delivered the title. Spurs forced a draw with a late penalty but it did not dampen the celebrations on a famous day in North London.

Arsenal's ascendancy over Spurs can be traced back to this night. George Graham's team had been chasing this tie since the first leg but late goals from Allinson and Rocastle won the replay and took them to Wembley.
