Ticket prices at Arsenal Football Club will go up by approximately four per cent next season, in line with inflation.
It is only the second increase in the General Admission category in the past six years.
In addition, the 2.5 per cent rise in VAT brought in by the Government earlier this year will affect ticket prices.
Arsenal Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis said: “We thought about this increase, the first in three seasons, very carefully. We fully understand fans are facing rising costs in many areas of their lives and their club faces the same issues.
"We have acted responsibly over the years to balance the impact of even inflationary increases on our fans with the rightful demand that we compete at the highest level and we will continue to do so.”
Mr Gazidis has also pledged to undertake an entire review of the approach to ticketing at the stadium.
In the meantime a couple of significant new membership benefits have already been decided:
* An extra 2,000 seats will be available for Red Members to buy at every home Premier League game. Red Level members currently only have access to 1,500 per home game.
* From June 8th all membership levels will now include unlimited access to Arsenal.com’s video platform, previously called Arsenal TV Online, via an exciting new console named Arsenal Player.
Some of the main areas in the review, relating to the ticket exchange scheme and concessionary ticketing, have been proposed by supporters for supporters.
Mr Gazidis said: “We welcome suggestions from our fans to build into our thinking. Among others the Arsenal Independent Supporters’ Association has presented a number of good ideas to us.
"Some of these ideas are already built into our thinking for next season. Others may take a little longer to develop but we are committed to responding positively to what has been proposed.”
