Tuesday night’s incredible Capital One Cup comeback against Reading equalled the record for the most goals scored in an Arsenal game.
The 7-5 victory at the Madejski Stadium was only the fourth time that a match involving Arsenal had yielded 12 goals - and the first time since an 11-1 home win against Darwen in the FA Cup in 1932.
Tuesday's game was only the fourth time since the turn of the century that there have been nine or more goals in an Arsenal game.
There were 10 when Arsène Wenger's team were beaten by Manchester United last season, and nine in both the 6-3 League Cup win over Liverpool in 2007, and the 5-4 triumph at Tottenham in 2004.
Both Johan Djourou and Theo Walcott played in those high-scoring games at Liverpool, United and Reading.
There were two other notable stats from Tuesday's Capital One Cup tie. Amid the drama Thomas Eisfeld and Jernade Meade came off the bench to make their first-team debuts for Arsenal.
