The Olympic Flame is making its way around the UK ahead of the London Games and two Arsenal employees have been chosen as torchbearers.
Freddie Hudson, manager of Arsenal in the Community, and Jamie Monteith, a driving force behind the Club's Kickz programme, have been selected to carry the torch during its 8,000-mile journey before the Olympics begin on July 27.
Freddie has been a key figure in the Club’s development of programmes designed to help thousands of young people from across the local community fulfil their potential. His route will take him through the London Borough of Enfield on July 25.
Jamie will carry the torch in Rayleigh, Essex on July 6. He was nominated for his work at Elthorne Park on a programme that partners the police with the football industry and prioritises social contributions ahead of sporting outcomes.
