Emmanuel Eboue
Ivory Coast 3-1 Ghana
Friday, January 15
Ivory Coast defeated Ghana 3-1 despite Emmanuel Eboue's sending off for a two-footed tackle on Opoku Agyemang in the 56th minute. The Ivorians already had the lead when Eboue was dismissed. Gervinho had slotted home in the 23rd minute and Siaka Tiene doubled the lead midway through the second-half. Ghana pulled one back with a stoppage-time penalty but Didier Drogba ended their hopes by making it 3-1 a minute later. Ivory Coast are now top of Group B with four points.
