Young midfielder Chuks Aneke has joined League One side Crewe Alexandra on a one-month loan deal.

It will be the 19-year-old England youth international’s third loan move, after successful spells with Stevenage and Preston North End last season.

The 2011/12 campaign proved productive for Aneke, who signed a new contract with Arsenal last June, before making his first team debut in the 3-1 League Cup victory over Shrewsbury Town in September.

The Newham-born youngster also racked up six goals in 10 appearances for the reserves last term before heading out to gain competitive experience on loan.

Aneke continued his progression this pre-season when he joined the first-team squad on their tour of Asia, scoring the winner against a Malaysia XI in Kuala Lumpur.

Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Chuks well for his time at the Alexandra Stadium with Steve Davis’ newly-promoted team.
