Emmanuel Adebayor believes Arsenal can beat Chelsea in the Carling Cup Final - no matter what side Arsène Wenger puts out.

After the Semi-Final win over Tottenham on Wednesday, the manager stated that in Cardiff he would keep faith with the young side that has beaten three Premiership teams and another promotion-chasing Championship outfit in the competition so far.

It will be the tallest of orders to beat Jose Mourinho's title-chasing side. But, Adebayor argues, the game between the two sides this season shows Arsenal's youngsters can pull it off.

"Why not?" said the striker who will be 22 the day after the Final. "When we played Chelsea in the Premiership, we played without Kolo Toure, William Gallas and Thierry Henry. We still nicked a draw and they were 1-0 down until they came back at the end.

"We can beat any team. We have a lot of quality players. We are ready to go and I hope at the end we will be happy.

"If you have beaten Liverpool at Liverpool and Tottenham then of course I think we have a chance to win it. But it depends on the 90 minutes on the day."

Adebayor is not prepared to second-guess Wenger's side at the Millennium Stadium but he did back his ethic of sticking with the youngsters.

"To be honest I don't know what is in the boss's mind," said the Togolese international. "But I'm starting to know him a little bit now.

"He's going to try to play the young boys because they have done the job up to now. It would be very difficult on them not to play in the Final. The boss has confidence in the young players, we have confidence in them as
well.

"I feel we are going to play the Final to win it whether it is with the big players or the young kids."
