Emmanuel Adebayor marked his debut with a goal as Arsenal recorded a welcome away win at Birmingham on Saturday.

The powerful striker netted just 21 minutes into his first appearance for the Gunners, and just three days after returning from African Cup of Nations duty with Togo.

Adebayor gave Arsenal an extra dimension in attack with his strength, aerial power and ability to hold the ball up and bring team-mates into play. Here are Adebayor's best moments from St. Andrews:

First half

0 mins - Adebayor gets his first touch in an Arsenal shirt as the Gunners kick off at St. Andrews. The new signing is immediately into the action, playing the ball inside Blues left-back Julian Gray but just too far ahead of Cesc Fabregas.

5 mins - Climbs well to beat Nicky Butt in the air and flick on Jens Lehmann's long goal kick. It's the first of many aerial duels which Adebayor will win.

15 mins - Adebayor's first attempt on goal but it's a poor one. The ball breaks to him on the edge of the area but he scuffs it wide with Maik Taylor untroubled.

17 mins - A sharp turn takes Adebayor past his marker and he races down the left channel before finding strike partner Henry. The captain miscontrols and the move breaks down.

21 mins - GOAL! 1-0 to Arsenal. Henry's clever pass finds Diaby, his cross ricochets off Martin Latka, hits Taylor and loops up kindly for Adebayor to nod into an empty net.

33 mins - Latches onto Reyes' pass in left channel but squanders excellent chance for a second goal with a weak shot straight at Taylor.

Second half

51 mins - Adebayor continues to link up well with Henry, winning a high ball and nodding it into the path of Arsenal's captain.

57 mins - Wins a free-kick after a foul by Latka. The Birmingham defence is struggling to contain Adebayor, particularly in the air.

63 mins - After scoring his first for Arsenal, Adebayor is first on the scene to congratulate Henry as he completes a double century of goals for the Gunners.

77 mins - Makes a dangerous run into the box, shrugging off a defender and getting to the byline before cutting the ball back. Birmingham clear the danger.

86 mins - A rare offside decision against Adebayor, who otherwise has led the line intelligently.

90 mins - The final whistle brings a promising debut to a close. Adebayor walks off the pitch with Henry after capping an impressive display with a goal.
