Emmanuel Adebayor... striker scoops award in Abu Dhabi
Adebayor named African Player of the Year
Emmanuel Adebayor has been named African Player of the Year 2008 on behalf of Super Magazine.
Adebayor, who is the current BBC African Footballer of the Year, collected the award at a Gala dinner in Abu Dhabi.
The award caps a fine year for the Togolese striker who was the Premier League’s golden boot runner-up for 2007/08 after scoring 24 goals in just 32 starts.
