One of the most heartening sights at the Members' Day on Monday was Abou Diaby training on pitch at Emirates Stadium.
It was the 20-year-old's first experience at Arsenal's new home. The French midfielder has been sidelined since suffering a fracture and dislocation to his ankle at Sunderland in May.
It has been a long, long journey back but, according to Arsène Wenger, the end is in sight.
"We plan for Abou to come back to full training at the beginning of January," said the manager on Thursday. "We will hopefully see him playing games at the end of January."
